Steven Strasberg, MD,

 

the Pruett Family Professor of Surgery in the School of Medicine, will receive the 2014 Distinguished Service Award from the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. The award recognizes physicians who are leaders in the hepato-pancreato-biliary field, who are dedicated to forwarding research, and who have had a long-term impact on the association.

Lihong Wang, PhD,

 

the Gene K. Beare Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University in Sweden. Wang has been one of the prominent figures in developing photoacoustic imaging technology in biomedicine.

Washington University

 

won the Star Circle of Excellence Award, the highest designation in the St. Louis Regional Chamber’s Green Business Challenge.
